Wild Rice

Makes about 4

1 cup of wild rice
4 cups of water (Use cleanest water possible)
1 tablespoon salt

Rinse the rice very well with cold water. Mix rice, water and salt in a saucepan. Heat until boiling. Cover and simmer at lower heat for 50 minutes until the rice is tender. At mid cooking time, see if the rice is sticking in the pan. Add some more water if necessary (about 1/4 cup). Remove the cover and remove the water from the rice. Stir the rice (with a fork preferably).
